A true-to-life representation of the weather. Swipe through a beautifully animated sky and watch the weather change hour by hour, while getting all the information you need at a glance.

Early Yr concept sketch: a phone at the centre of a landscape, showing the day's weather as one continuous story

This early concept sketch holds the original idea: visual storytelling. Moving through time as you scroll to the side, the forecast shows transitions instead of single points in time — a story told the way you recognize it from the real world, smart and contextual.

Yr sky forecast, hourly forecast, and detailed weather charts on three phones

A new precipitation forecast. To capture local rain and snow showers as accurately as possible, we developed a precipitation forecast that shows exactly when and how much rain or snow is expected at your chosen location. The forecast updates every 7.5 minutes.

Weather is never a single moment. We designed Yr to show the day as it unfolds — clouds gathering, rain arriving, light changing — so a forecast reads the way the sky does.

Craft in every detail. We paid close attention to the smallest visual elements, building a library of weather assets — clouds, rain, snow, fog, sunlight and moonlight — each one drawn and refined until it read as the real thing. That precision and craft is what lets a forecast be understood at a glance.
